Welcome to the website of the Boglárka Pension!

Our pension can be found 3 kms far from Mezőkövesd, which is the centre of the famous "matyó" embroidery, in the so-called Zsóry Spa Region.

Accommodation

Pension
There are 12 double rooms and a triple room in the pension, all of them are air-conditioned. Each of the rooms is equipped with bathroom (shower), SAT television, telephone, wi-fi and refrigerator.
Apartments
	Four apartments can be found right in the neighbourhood of the pension. Each of them has 2 double-rooms, a living room, a bathroom (shower), a kitchenette and a terrace. Each of them is equipped with SAT television, refrigerator, microwave oven, burner and kitchenette utensils.

Smoking is forbidden both in the rooms and in the apartments. Smoking is only allowed outside the bulilding.

The accommodation can be occupied between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be left till 10 a.m. on the day of leaving. In case you will arrive after 6 p.m. please inform us about it. Without any previous information we ensure the room till 6 p.m.

Restaurant

Our resturant can hold 70 guests and in our open-air restaurant, which operates from 1st May till the end of September, 100 guests can enjoy themselves. We welcome our guests with house-proud meals and local wine specialities (from Tokaj, Eger, Bükkalja, Mátraalja). Our personnel provides the best service to make your holiday memorable.

 Prices of apartments per night

In case of staying only 1-2 nights in the apartments a 10% additional charge must be paid. 

Apartments one-week offer 

The breakfast is not included in the price. Breakfast, half-board and full-board are available in the pension.

• Children under the age of 6 can be accommodated free of charge in the parents' room.
• A 30% reduction is given from the price of the accommodation for children between the age of 6 - 12.

Zsóry Spa

Our pension can be found 300 metres far from the northern entrance of the Zsóry Thermal Bath which is well-known all over Europe due to its currative effect.

The water was found in 1939 on the property of Zsóry Lajos who was looking for oil but they found hot thermal water with high sulfur content.
The natural curative water belongs to the class of sulphurous curative waters. The thermal water contains Calcium, Magnesium and Hydrogen-carbonate free Carbonate acid. The curative water is suitable for the treatment of rheumatic diseases, articular inflammations and wearing, different gynaecological illnesses, as well as the follow-up treatment of orthopaedic operations.
Services: Curative and invigorating massage, water-jet massage, curative swimming therapy in group, weight bath, tub-bath, mud treatment, sauna and infra-sauna. Twin-pool with curative water, open-air and indoor curative pools, swimming-pool, pool for children.

Mezőkövesd

The capital of Matyóland - as it is known in Hungary -
is situated 3 kms far from the Zsóry Spa Region.

Sights

• Matyó Museum: Here you can have a look into the old Matyó life and the history of Matyó folk art.
• Agricultural Machine Museum: If you are a fun of machines you must visit this museum, which is unique with its collection in Europe. Old tools and machines can be seen here.
• Hadas district: You can find the picturesque, ancient town center called HADAS - almost in its original form in the heart of Mezőkövesd. They still keep the architectural habits of the local ethnic group called "matyó" and reflect their way of life, too. Folkartists work in the 100-150 years old tatched-roof houses.
• Dance Bark: Here you can take part in well-organized and interesting programmes just as a traditional Matyó wedding-party.
• Sacred Heart Church: A new roman catholic church which was consecrated in 2001.
• Town Gallery: Works of local artists are exhibited here.
• Saint Leslie Church: A baroque roman catholic church from the 18 century, with a gothic chapel from the 14 th century; frescos by István Takács.
